How does compute billing work?
Billed per hour while your instance is running. Stop it anytime to pause billing. Storage charges continue while data is retained.
What counts as a write query?
Anything that adds data or changes the schema — ingesting sources, updating records, applying schema changes. Reads (questions, API reads, GraphQL, introspection) bill at the lower read rate.
Can I resize without downtime?
Vertical resize (changing instance size) takes ~30 seconds. Adding read replicas has zero downtime.
